About the Role
As SENCO your responsibilities will include:
Leading the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
Overseeing the identification and assessment of students with additional needs
Coordinating EHCP processes reviews and statutory documentation
Supporting staff with differentiation adaptive teaching and inclusive approaches
Line-managing Teaching Assistants and specialist support teams
Monitoring and tracking student progress ensuring robust intervention plans
Working closely with parents carers and external agencies to support individual learners
Contributing to whole-school CPD on SEND and inclusive teaching
Playing a key role in pastoral and safeguarding teams
This is a highly influential position ideal for a SENCO who is passionate about ensuring all students reach their full potential.
Experience and Qualifications
Qualified SENCO (NASENCO) or close to completing the qualification
QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Experience leading SEND provision within a secondary school
Excellent communication organisation and leadership skills
Commitment to inclusive education and evidence-based practice
Salary
Paid to scale MPS/UPS TLR (depending on experience).
