Position Overview
Woolpert Africa is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as full-time Trainee Geospatial Editors based in our Cape Town office on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. We are committed to developing young talent by providing hands-on experience with cutting-edge geospatial technologies in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
This is an in-office position located at:
9 Silverwood Close Suite 1 Silvermine House Steenberg Office Park Tokai Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit ortho photos using Adobe Photoshop.
- Perform basic geospatial digital map interpretation and editing including daily processing of geospatial data.
- Evaluate data for accuracy and efficiency ensuring compliance with applicable project and industry aerial mapping standards.
- Assist senior technicians with various duties maintenance and other related tasks.
- Follow all Quality Management Procedures as outlined.
- Manage individual deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric certificate (having Geography as a subject is advantageous).
- Must not use cannabis or any illicit substances (drug screening will be conducted).
- No prior experience needed full training will be provided.
