Specific responsibilities:
Prepare muffins cookies pies cakes doughnuts biscuits and other pastriesalong with icingsfollowing established recipes. Measure scale mix and bake products in accordance with proper procedures. Monitor product quality during and after baking and note any needed recipe adjustments. Interpret and produce recipes in large volumes while maintaining a strong commitment to detail consistency and quality.
Assemble ingredients and equipment required for daily baking activities based on catering orders and menus. Follow standardized recipes safe food-handling procedures and allergen safety best practices.
Train and guide student workers using clear and effective communication skills.
Assist with general kitchen prep production tasks and deep cleaning during off-peak times.
Clean and maintain work areas utensils and equipment. Address day-to-day issues related to equipment and food products and complete production sheets when the Bakery Supervisor is unavailable.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
2 years of baking experience is preferred
