Position: Behavioral Health Unit Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Alfond Center for Health Augusta
Schedule: Per diem

Shift: Nights (7p-7a)

What Youll Do:

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional physical and spiritual needs

• Greets patients and visitors. Answers screens and routes telephone calls. Calls codes pages and overhead announcements as requested

• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to the nursing staff

• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked clean and orderly

Your Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course within one year of hire is required. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required within 18 months of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) are required within 6 months of hire.

• A minimum of one year of directly related work experience is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications is desired.

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
