What Your Day May Look Like
- Report to site manager and functions for all plant security and fire safety operations.
- Provide supervision to Fire Specialist such as overseeing customer relations ensuring physical security surveys and post orders are updated regularly and reviewing disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety.
- Primary responsible person for the fire safety program and all related fire systems at their assigned facility
- Assist review and ensure quality of fire investigations of all fires at the facility to include capturing the required cost data for each incident.
- Perform training and education on fire training to other on-site fire personnel.
- Conduct periodic inventories of fire safety equipment at assigned facility.
- Perform quarterly audits for inspections as directed
- Patrol premises conducting fire and security related inspections for the purpose of reporting and eliminating hazardous conditions and actions.
- Provide emergency assistance as circumstances may dictate company interests as appropriate.

Position Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in fire related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years hands on experience in safety related field.
- 2 years of prior employment as fire/security officer or directly related experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
- Valid drivers license and clear driving record required.
- Must possess working knowledge of National Fire Protection Act/Occupational Safety & Health Administration/Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act.
- Ability to supervise staff and provide positive direction to motivate performance.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
