The CAMH Simulation Centre embedded in Education at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time permanent CH&E Coordinator (Simulation Coordinator). The CAMH Simulation Centre is North Americas first accredited simulation centre focused on teaching research and quality improvement at all levels of mental health education. The CAMH Simulation Centre is made up of an interprofessional team of clinicians educators researchers and evaluators working to enhance the quality of mental health care through innovative modalities and research.

Reporting to the Manager CAMH Simulation Centre & Customer Service De-escalation Training the CH&E Coordinator (Simulation Coordinator) will be responsible for tracking and improving CAMH Simulation Centre processes coordinate all internal and external Simulated Participant (SP) bookings coordinate live virtual and in-person simulations as well as asynchronous simulation offerings on the CAMH Global Learning Academy. The CH&E Coordinator (Simulation Coordinator) will track the implementation of specific project deliverables and will identity and trouble shoot operational issues that arise in the implementation of projects and outputs. Simulation Coordinators will be responsible for developing schedules for training delivery tracking training program completion requirements coordinating educational events (e.g. symposiums) and developing promotional packages for increased online and conference visibility.

The Simulation Coordinator will foster relationships with and bring together key stakeholders across CAMH and external partners who use simulation as a modality to promote teaching learning and enhanced client-care. Working closely with partners such as lived experience advisors clinical subject matter experts researchers evaluation specialists digital learning specialists and external vendors the Simulation Coordinator role requires authentic and collaborative approaches to partnerships rooted in equitable and anti-oppressive practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the delivery of online and in-person simulations and education events including booking training times spaces equipment and engage in learner recruitment and evaluation strategies
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for trainings and system for managing upcoming simulations
  • Ensure all simulation initiatives are following best practices and meeting all accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate administration promotions communications and logistics for education events
  • Coordinate and track the development of new and existing online simulations for the Global Learning Academy working closely with the Digital Innovation team
  • Develop surveys to collect data through RedCap
  • Coordinate all Simulated Participant (SP) programming including call outs onboarding booking and scheduling for the Simulation Centre internal and external partners
  • Maintaining and developing improved Simulation Centre processes including developing a tracking system of all educational initiatives equipment booking and Simulation Centre calendar management
  • Support the booking and coordination of tours and external visitors to the Simulation Centre
  • Collaborating with manager and relevant internal teams to develop and update promotional material including webpages printed material and conference packages
  • Embody the values of the CAMH Simulation Centre and supports the strategic direction vision and implementation of the Centre

The successful candidate will have:

  • Masters degree in Health Services Health or Social Sciences Public Health Health Promotion Education or a related discipline
  • Three (3) years of experience coordinating educational activities in a healthcare or community setting
  • Direct experience coordinating complex projects where technology is a key component. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Experience delivering or supporting educational initiatives in a healthcare setting. Simulation experience is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience working with diverse stakeholders and equitably co-producing educational initiatives with lived experience advisors or patient/family partners is required
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing project plans and processes analytical problem solving and experience prioritizing and managing competing deadlines
  • Self-directed and able to take initiative and work and learn independently with minimal direction while identifying areas where work and guidance is needed
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of equity inclusivity anti-racism/anti-oppression respect and cultural safety including how to apply in the context of education and evidence-informed decision-making processes
  • Proficiency in web-based tools and web-based design software including Learning Management Software virtual collaborative tools and meeting software Microsoft Office etc
  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
