About This Role:
Pacha Soap Co. is on a mission to create natural sustainable products that not only benefit our customers but also make a positive impact on the world. The Production Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations in our manufacturing facility to ensure we safely produce high-quality products on time and in full while continuously improving our processes and people. This role oversees production teams coordinates resources and partners closely with other key leaders within Operations Supply Chain and the Commercial Team to deliver against safety quality service cost and people metrics.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on floor-present leader who can balance structure and discipline with flexibility and creativity in building the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Quality and Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture; ensure all employees follow safety policies procedures and PPE requirements.
- Own adherence to GMPs quality standards and documentation requirements (batch records line checks etc.).
- Investigate non-conformances implement corrective and preventive actions reduce scrap rework and consumer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and company standards.
Production Planning & Execution
- Translate production plans and demand forecasts into daily and weekly schedules for assigned lines/areas.
- Ensure production targets (volume yield changeover times and uptime) are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate labor materials and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Monitor performance in real time; troubleshoot issues and make decisions to keep lines running safely and efficiently.
- Support new product introductions line trials and process changes in partnership with Product Development and Operations leadership.
People Leadership
- Lead coach and develop Line Leads and Operators; create a positive respectful and accountable team environment consistent with Pacha Core Values.
- Set clear expectations and performance standards; provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
- Model Pachas values in all interactions; address behavior that undermines respect inclusion or collaboration.
- Support staffing plans hiring onboarding cross-training and succession planning within the production area.
- Recognize and celebrate wins; build engagement and ownership on the floor.
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
- Use data and KPIs (safety quality scrap labor efficiency etc.) to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Lead and participate in root-cause problem solving production reviews and structured improvement efforts.
- Standardize best practices and ensure processes are documented trained and sustained.
- Partner with Maintenance on reliability efforts and preventative maintenance.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for production status issues and priorities within the facility.
- Communicate clearly and consistently across shifts and departments to ensure alignment of goals schedules and changes.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain on material availability and with Customer Service/Commercial teams on order priorities and service impacts.
- Provide timely operational input to leadership on capacity constraints capital needs and future planning.
Experience Required:
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 23 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Demonstrated track record of leading hourly teams in a fast-paced schedule-driven operation.
- Strong understanding of production and capacity planning line efficiency and basic continuous improvement tools.
- Comfort using data/metrics to manage performance.
- Strong communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to build trust hold people accountable and maintain a respectful environment.
- Preferred experience in CPG food beverage personal care or similar manufacturing environment.
Must Haves:
- The work is primarily on the production floor; this is a hands-on leadership role.
- May require off-shift or weekend presence occasionally as needed to support tight capacity periods.
- Ability to stand walk and move around the facility for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
