Our Outside School Hours Care service Oxley State School Helping Hands is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 25 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) to assist with leading a team of passionate Educators. You will work across split shifts to support the services operating hours of Monday Friday 6:30am 8:50am (Rise then Shine Program) and 3:00pm 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!
About the role
Co-managing a team of Educators youll have the perfect balance of support and leadership opportunities. You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years with the support of a state specific office plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM sport cooking art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
- Foster healthy relationships with children the school community and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite including roster management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

- Enjoy working with kids
- Strong and clear communication
- Team player with a desire to become a service leader
- Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (well pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
- Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
- Australian work rights
