Analyzes budget requests for small facilities divisional requests for additional positions and small service and supplies or fixed assets budgets.
Coordinates smallmoves of office or shop personnel and equipment and arranges for limited public use of County-owned facilities.
Checks operating reports and maintains or supervises the maintenance of administrative records.
Prepares or assists in preparation of reports and recommendations.
Assists in making studies to ascertain the efficiency economy and effectiveness of departmental operations policies and procedures.
Collects analyzes and interprets data relative to the work of the department.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited* college -OR- One year of experience as an Administrative Aid**
*Accredited is defined as a college who has met certain quality standards set by an external recognized accrediting agency providing a form of assurance that the institution is reputable and provides quality education.
**Administrative Aid is defined as working under close supervision performs beginning level administrative staff work by participating in making investigations of operating problems in a County department.
LICENSE:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS:
2 - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-poind limit and some bending stooping or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

Veterans Credit:
Pursuant to the County Charter and County policy in all open competitive examinations (i.e. examinations open to everyone) the County of Los Angeles will add a credit of 10 percent of the total credits specified for such examination to the final passing score of an honorably discharged veteran as well as the spouse of a deceased or disabled veteran who served in the Armed Forces of the United States under specific conditions.
