Part-Time Maintenance Worker

The City of Falls Church VA is recruiting for a part-time weekend Maintenance Worker in the Recreation and Parks Department. This is physical work including breaking down of a weekly farmers market setting up and breaking down of daily classes and rentals maintaining the community center to include general daily custodial duties; perform scheduled routine maintenance to include carpet cleaning floor waxing etc. This position will also assist Park crews during snow removal and special events.
Requirements:
Experience in maintenance work preferred especially in the areas outlined above.
Satisfactory pre-employment physical drug screen and background check.
Valid Drivers License in state of residency with a good driving record.
Must report to work in and wear steel-toed safety shoes of an acceptable standard at all times on the job effective first scheduled workday.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as well as respond to emergency situations.
Hours: Part-time - weekends 13 hours regularly scheduled per week; Saturdays 12-7pm Sundays 10am-4pm. Additional weekend and holiday hours as needed for programs and special events.
Salary: $20 per hour. This is a part-time position with no fringe benefits.
