This position receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Trolley Tours Operations and Sales. Learn line and staff functions operations management viewpoints and company policies and practices that affect each phase of the business. Requirements:

Essential Functions

Become knowledgeable of companys philosophy products and services.
While assisting the Head Conductor Depot Sales Manager and Groups/Vendor Managers learn such things as making and adjusting a schedule for both personnel and the tour loop drive sales to meet goals conduct ride-a-long evaluations mentoring counseling and motivating employees and how to respond to employee complaints.
As assigned participate in Manager on Duty functions opening procedures ensure everything is ready for leaving at the ends of the day cash banks have been returned and all buildings are locked and alarms have been set.
As assigned spend time with different departments to learn each duty.
Ability to read write and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
Ability to work in excess of standard 40 hours and to be available during evenings weekends non-working hours and holidays when necessary.
When necessary drive in a safe competent manner various types of passenger motor vehicles.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

High degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as a part of a team within the scope of established rules and regulations
Ability to drive non-air-conditioned trolley in a safe competent manner on busy public streets either while learning/narrating sightseeing tour or driving on company property
Ability to learn to hire plan organize direct and coordinate the work or assigned personnel; ability to provide leadership training counsel motivation disciplining staff; processing grievances and constructive performance reviews to staff securing their commitment to the department and company goals
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to establish and maintain professional effective working relationships and negotiate conflict with people at all levels of an organization (both inside and outside the company)

Qualifications

Related college degree preferred.
Prior management experience preferred.
Travel and relocation will be necessary.
Valid Drivers License (DC MD or VA) with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
Will provide training to acquire a Class B or higher CDL with passenger endorsement.
Must pass a DOT physical upon employment.
