Duties:
The ideal candidate will have solid IFRS reporting experience and strong technical knowledge of IFRS. Key responsibilities of this role include:

Providing IFRS technical guidance for group projects.
Ensuring the group complies with IFRS standards and assisting with the implementation of new standards or amendments that impact the organisation.
Reviewing group financial statements for compliance with IFRS.
Assisting with the implementation of IFRS 17 including:
Providing technical guidance on the application of IFRS 17 across the group.
Supporting the finalisation implementation and testing of IFRS 17 financial reporting processes.
Assisting in the development and finalisation of IFRS 17-compliant financial statements and management reports.
Developing and delivering communication and training to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Liaising with internal and external assurance providers to ensure assurance on IFRS 17 compliance.
Preparing communication for stakeholders including shareholders and analysts regarding IFRS 17.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Minimum 2 years post-articles experience in an advisory role.
Completed CA(SA) qualification or equivalent

Experience:

Strong knowledge and experience in IFRS including IFRS 17 and other recent amendments.
Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements for compliance with IFRS.
Exposure to complex accounting transactions and financial reporting processes

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical accounting knowledge and application of IFRS standards.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex financial information and provide guidance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
