Job Summary

Position: Welder

Salary Grade: 5

Primary Purpose: Set up and operate mig and tig welding machines to weld together parts of fabricated metal products. Successfully operate the hand plasma cutter and CNC plasma/OXY fuel machine to complete required projects. capable of moving around throughout the assemble area to support team members.

Responsibilities: Quantifiable metrics to which a person is held accountable

Weld flat cylindrical or irregular parts as required to achieve final specifications and delivery requirements.
Ability to read understand and correctly interpret drawings blueprints layouts charts sketches and schematics to meet or exceed specifications.
Verify conformance of parts to drawings using various measuring instruments.
Inspect welds brazes and other operations for quality in function and form.
Arrive at work and position consistently on time; remain present and engaged the entire assigned shift.
Able to recognize and document patterns in process and problem solving.
Participate in regular employee reviews including setting and achieving goals.

Essential qualifications and skills

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have 2-3 years previous welding experience.
Ability to receive forklift license and learn to operate cranes and man-lifts.
Must have math skills and ability to utilize various measurement tools such as tape measure squares calipers and micrometers.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities tactful mature and flexible.
Ability to remain calm and determined to attain goals.
High energy level comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
Documentation of a current drug screen must be provided prior to start date.
