Position Summary
The Senior Research Support Specialist ( SRSS ) within the Department of Psychology will join a multidisciplinary team that currently has three ongoing federally funded studies . One is a clinical trial the goal of which is to conduct an innovative rigorous experimental evaluation of remote -person methods on trial efficiency (accrual) and quality (retention treatment adherence bio-specimen completion rates). The second project is a laboratory study that aims to learn more about abstinence-induced withdrawal among daily vapers and how that compares to daily smokers. The third project is a laboratory study that uses technology weve developed to passively assess how much people vape and their vaping patterns. The SRSS will operate and make decisions within defined protocols relying on the experience and direction of research scientists and senior staff for carrying out more complex analytical tasks. Some initiative is required in recognizing situations where standard operating procedures and methods may not be appropriate and then bringing these situations to the attention of the research scientists and senior staff for further decision-making. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in psychology or another health-related profession Combination of conscientious adherence to study protocols and excellent interpersonal skills Basic proficiency with keyboarding Microsoft Word Excel and Zoom

One year of research experience with human participants.
