Job Summary
A one year Post-Grad Trainee Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner to join the Western University Medical Centers and be involved with both patient care and student instruction The Medical Centers at Western University of Health Sciences are a dynamic thriving family medicine group in Southern California. The practice is fully outpatient-based and offers a modern facility with the use of electronic medical records. It affords opportunity for a broad scope of Family Medicine practice including pediatrics well women care (excluding obstetrical care) and addition providers are able perform minor procedures. Our Medical Center is affiliated with the osteopathic medical school at Western University of Health Sciences and serves as a teaching Family Medicine clinical rotation facility for our third and fourth year students. As part of this group providers are also responsible for contributing and shaping the students educational experience.
Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION : (Physician Assistant) Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or (Nurse Practitioner) FNP and National Certification required 2. LICENSURE : (Physician Assistant) California Physician Assistant License and NCCPA Certification required or (Nurse Practitioner) FNP and National Certification required 4. HEALTH CLEARANCE : Must submit all required health related documents prior to employment. May be required to maintain annual records for items such as TB clearance. 5. BACKGROUND CHECK : A background check may be initiated that may include criminal employment educational and financial history.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates will be given strong preference.
