Job Description
Castle Employment are recruiting an Assembly and Test Technician to join a small but dynamic production team based in the York area and responsible for the mechanical electrical and electronic assembly testing and servicing of all products. This is a full-time permanent job reporting in to the Production Manager
Hours : Monday to Friday (early finish on a Friday)
Salary : 30000 - 35000
Assembly and Test Technician Role:
Prepare and kit components for assembly.
Build and wire electronic and mechanical assemblies using provided documentation.
Perform detailed wiring and occasional surface-mount soldering.
Conduct bench testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including pressure testing.
Carry out component-level fault-finding and PCB rework as needed.
Maintain accurate records of all assembly testing and calibration activities.
Support stock organisation inventory checks and dispatch of goods.
Assembly and Test Technician Requirements:
Proven ability to assemble and wire products accurately to technical documentation.
Experience assembling and wiring to technical documentation.
Competent in soldering (training available if required).
Skilled in using a range of test equipment including DMMs and electronic test tools.
High attention to detail reliability and adaptability.
Skilled in soldering and confident using electronic test equipment (DMMs oscilloscopes etc.).
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
