Job Description:
Portledge School seeks to hire a dynamic Lower School Homeroom educator to serve as the 2nd grade leave replacement from late January - mid June 2026. This is a full time temporary individual should be driven to create a classroom environment where student learning is a non-negotiable goal and passion is evident on a daily basis. Responsibilities would include teaching 2nd grade students actively evaluating and building the Lower School Curriculum building positive relationships with students and families participating collegially in meetings and taking an active role in the life of the school community. The position will be a member of the Lower School Division and will report directly to the Lower School Division Head.

Qualifications:
BA Degree minimum; advanced degree preferred in relevant area(s)
Teaching certification required for all elementary teaching positions
Comfort in teaching in both in-person and online environments
Highly qualified in teacher of reading and writing grades K-5
Training/experience with Primary (Singapore) Math preferred
International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program experience preferred
Superb written and oral communication as well as organizational and time management skills.
