Finance Shared Services (FSS) organization was established as one of the key elements of new operating model for AbbVie to provide accurate financial accounting and reporting for all affiliates and business units. The FSS center for EMEA region is based in Krakow Poland and is serving as a chief accounting and controllership function for all affiliates and manufacturing plants in the region providing support in US GAAP accounting tax and statutory compliance and reporting and in selected FP&A and order to cash processes. The center was established in 2013.

Role purpose:

Technologically Automation will focus on streamlining manual processes driving business process re-engineering and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions across the organization. The Automation Expert will leverage process mining tools advanced automation technologies and AI-driven approaches to optimize workflows enhance compliance and support efficient business operations. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document existing finance processes to identify automation opportunities using process design tools.
  • Design implement and maintain automated workflows utilizing ServiceNow Microsoft Power Automate and SmartSheet.
  • Map and optimize end-to-end business processes with visual tools like Microsoft Visio ensuring clear documentation for stakeholders and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored automation solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce error risk.
  • Develop and deploy AI-driven automations (e.g. chatboths and others) to support intelligent process improvement and data-driven decision making.
  • Monitor test and refine automated processes maintaining alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Train team members and end-users on newly implemented automation tools and updated workflows.
  • Stay ahead of emerging automation trends best practices and applicable technologies to continually improve FSS operations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business process automation process mining or workflow optimization roles.
  • Hands-on experience with process mining & design tools: Celonis Microsoft Visio.
  • Proficient in automation platforms: ServiceNow Microsoft Power Automate SmartSheet.
  • Knowledgeable in AI-driven automation concepts/platforms (e.g. AVA) RPA and process improvement frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to document design and deliver process automation solutions in a finance or shared services environment.
  • Effective communicator able to train and support users on new automation technologies.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for process optimization and technology.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous automation projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset with experience working across business IT and compliance teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • English required; other languages an asset.
  • Self-motivated quick learner adaptable to change and new automation tools.
