Join a high-energy Video Collaboration engineering team focused on designing next-generation solutions for modern meeting spaces from small huddle rooms to global conference setups.
This team tackles complex system-level challenges and delivers reliable high-performance video communication devices. Here your expertise in low-level Android frameworks and system optimization will directly impact the next generation of video collaboration technology.
We are looking for an Expert Android System Engineer (AOSP) to customize and optimize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for video collaboration devices. You will be the technical authority at the Android OS layer ensuring deep system stability enabling core device features such as camera and display management and integrating requirements from leading partner applications. You will work closely with hardware firmware and QA teams.
What Youll Do
- Architect and customize AOSP to create a tailored Android OS for video collaboration devices
- Design develop and integrate custom Android framework components services and APIs
- Drive development on low-level system components including Camera HAL DisplayManager and advanced HDMI interfaces (OUT/IN CEC)
- Debug and resolve complex system-level issues across Android native code framework services and hardware interfaces
- Collaborate with hardware firmware and QA teams to ensure seamless end-to-end product performance
- Write and maintain robust Android system services including configuring SELinux policies for security
Required Experience & Skills
- 7 years of hands-on experience in Android framework development and AOSP customization
- Expert proficiency in Kotlin Java C and C
- Deep understanding of Android system architecture HAL layers and the Android application lifecycle
- Experience with low-level Android components such as Camera HAL/Camera2 API DisplayManager and HDMI OUT/IN/CEC integration
- Strong debugging root cause analysis and performance optimization skills for embedded Android systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with Chromium WebRTC audio/video APIs or Chromium WebView customization
- Exposure to partner video/audio applications or enterprise collaboration platforms
