What Youll Be Doing

Step into a pivotal leadership role as Duluxs Trade Sales Manager for the Waikato and Bay of Plenty overseeing a $20M portfolio and leading a high-performing team of 7 sales professionals and a property specification consultant. As the head of Waikato and Bay of Plenty trade market youll drive strategy pricing and performance to maintain and grow our #1 market position.

Reporting directly to the Head of Trade Sales this is a key leadership role within Dulux NZ. Youll be responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration in the trade segment while also providing strategic oversight of the specification function. Collaborating closely with specification consultants youll help secure wins in the commercial and architectural segments.

This role can be based out of Hamilton or Tauranga.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach your team to deliver results and foster a positive accountable culture
  • Build strong relationships with builders top-tier painters and key market influencers
  • Collaborate with internal networks and stakeholders to maximize market impact
  • Own pricing strategy in a competitive customer-driven environment
  • Leverage CRM and data insights to guide team performance
  • Drive specification success through strategic collaboration and project targeting

What were looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of direct field sales and team leadership experience
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Commerce Economics Business or Marketing (desired)
  • Knowledge of the trade market and construction sector with architectural or interior design insight a big plus
