What will you do

A day in the life of a Merchandising Manager Mens Sport Footwear at Vans looks a little like this.

The Merchandising Manager for Apparel will lead the execution of seasonal product strategies ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives. This role acts as a key consumer advocate refining assortments based on market trends and insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product creation and go-to-market strategies while analyzing business performance to optimize sales and margins. Additionally you will mentor Associate and Assistant Merchandisers to ensure smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

• Drive the execution of the seasonal product strategy ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives

• Act as a key consumer advocate leveraging insights and market trends to refine assortments and influence product decisions.

• Manage seasonal line plans ensuring a balanced assortment that meets financial targets while maintaining brand consistency.

• Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Design Development Planning Marketing and Sales) to drive product creation commercialization and go-to-market strategies.

• Analyze business performance identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending in-season actions to drive sales and margin.

• Mentor and guide Associate and Assistant Merchandisers fostering skill development and ensuring smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising in the footwear industry.

• Proven ability to manage and execute seasonal line plans.

• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on business performance optimization.

• Strong leadership and team mentorship capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
