RESOURCE TEACHER (BRIDGES PROGRAM)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants will be working with elementary students withautism and complex learning.
This is a specialized program that has a high teacher/parent to student ratio.
Duties include: Ability to work with a variety of districts departments teachers parents and children. Demonstrate ability to plan direct implement and evaluate successful learning environments.
Job requirements: High school diploma teaching certificate (or local substitute certification) effective communication skills proficient computer skills and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced work environment.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS: |
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and competencies.
- Must have people skills including the ability to build relationships establish trust and credibility and tailor assistance to individual students needs.
- Be creative and have adaptive thinking to match teaching objectives learning strategies and instructional plans with students abilities and learning modalities.
- Deliver instruction utilizing appropriate resources equipment materials technology and instructional strategies.
- Provide a positive role model of appropriate and respectful interactions with students and staff.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Manage student behavior.
- Collect analyze and interpret data and utilize it to modify instruction content and to report progress to parents and school districts.
- Maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff students and parents within all districts served.
- Adhere to all ESU 7 policies rules regulations and supervisory directives
- Other duties as assigned.

- English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar.
- Communications and Media Knowledge of media production communication and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written oral and visual media.
- Psychology Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability personality and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Coordination Adjusting actions in relation to others actions.
- Speaking Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
