Job Summary

A thriving and community-focused primary school in Barnet is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their talented team from January 2026. This is a full-time position initially offered on a fixed-term contract until July 2026 with a strong commitment from the school to make the role permanent from September 2026. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality engaging and well-structured lessons that stretch challenge and support all learners in Year 5.
- Use a strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum to deliver creative and ambitious learning experiences.
- Monitor assess and track progress using data to inform planning and ensure every pupil makes strong academic gains.
- Differentiate effectively to support pupils with varying abilities including those with SEN EAL or additional learning needs.
- Establish a positive inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel valued confident and motivated.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally in upper KS2
Strong curriculum knowledge including assessment and differentiation

A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
Commitment to inclusion high expectations and continuous school improvement
A warm positive and professional attitude with a genuine passion for supporting pupil progress
