- Position- Patient Financial Advocate( Administrative)
- Location- Robbinsdale MN 55422
- Facility- North Memorial Health
- Shift- Nights Saturday and Sunday days/3 Additional Shifts M-F may include evening starts/ 40 Hour Guarantee
- Assignement duration:- 13 weeks with possibility of extension
- Start date:- 12/8/2025
Pay: $29-31/hour on W2
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent - Required
- 1-2 yrs work experience as Patient Financial Advocate Patient Registration Patient Accounting- Required
- Experience in customer service especially in front end patient interactions regarding financial processes- Required
- Experience with Epic - Required
- Experience in communicating with insurance carriers to obtain authorization for services - Required
Preferred
- Bachelors degree - Strongly Preferred
- Spanish or Hmong speaking - Preferred
Job responsibilities:
- To perform a thorough financial screening of patients.
- Primary contact for patient education in areas of insurance benefits levels of coverage and billing and collection processes.
- Ensuring that all accounts have been cleared for billing obtaining insurance authorization for services securing payment arrangements (including collection of co-payment/coinsurance) prior to patient discharge and for major outpatient services identification of other potential payment sources (including Financial Assistance program initiating/completing the Medical Assistance application process) and providing costs estimates.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational skills including ability to prioritize problem solve and resolve conflict.
- Excellent communication skills especially when interacting with patients and families.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance including government assistance programs.
- Must be able to work under considerable stress using tact and diplomacy.
