We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Software Engineer to join our enterprise engineering team. This role involves working on mission-critical applications that support large-scale business operations. As a senior engineer you will lead the design and development of distributed systems build microservices architectures and contribute to technical strategy. You will collaborate with architects product owners QA engineers and DevOps teams to deliver secure scalable and reliable applications.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Java development microservice best practices cloud-native development and modern SDLC methodologies. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members propose architectural improvements and optimize system performance across the entire platform.

Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain complex backend services using Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture

Build scalable REST APIs with strong authentication authorization and performance considerations

Participate in architectural design sessions to influence the future direction of the platform

Write high-quality testable modular code following established standards and best practices

Collaborate with DevOps to ensure seamless CI/CD integration monitoring and cloud deployment

Troubleshoot production issues perform root cause analysis and identify long-term solutions

Refactor legacy code to improve performance and maintainability

Review code guide junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning grooming and retrospectives

Required Skills:

6-10 years of hands-on Java development experience

Strong proficiency in Spring Boot Spring Cloud and RESTful API design

Expertise in microservices distributed systems messaging platforms (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL MongoDB DynamoDB)

Experience with Docker Kubernetes cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Familiarity with CI/CD Git testing frameworks (JUnit Mockito)

Strong problem-solving debugging and system optimization skills
