A well-established organisation based in Graaff-Reinet is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions while leading and developing a team within a dynamic this role you will oversee fixed assets accounts payable treasury and month-end reporting ensuring every process is delivered with precision and integrity.

Experience:
A well-established organisation based in Graaff-Reinet is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions while leading and developing a team within a dynamic this role you will oversee fixed assets accounts payable treasury and month-end reporting ensuring every process is delivered with precision and integrity.
This is an opportunity for a strong hands-on accountant who is ready to bring structure to complexity elevate team performance and strengthen the organisations financial backbone from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full fixed asset function ensuring accurate tracking and compliance
- Oversee the accounts payable process with strong controls and efficiency
- Take ownership of cashbooks and treasury operations to ensure accurate cash management
- Drive the month-end close process and produce reliable financial reporting
- Lead mentor and manage a team of 8 direct reports fostering accountability and growth
- Implement and refine processes to improve financial accuracy and operational flow
- Support internal and external audits through structured and transparent reporting
- Apply systems knowledge to streamline accounting workflows
What You Bring
- Completed BCom degree (minimum requirement)
- Minimum 3 years experience with 35 years within accounting functions
- Strong technical experience across: Fixed Assets Accounts Payable Cashbooks / Treasury Month-End Reporting
- Proven team management experience (8 direct reports)
- System exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous
- A leadership approach grounded in accuracy structure and developing people
