Key Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor:
- Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPIs are achieved or exceeded.
- To monitor and promote good working practices conforming to all Health and Safety law and IPS SOPs.
- Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy production and orders.
- Manage outbound picking and loading to ensure load are ready on time for the collection.
- To ensure accuracy of systems on receipts and despatches.
- Ensuring that all Quality and compliance checks and controls are carried out and that the Operational team work to the Audit standard required.
- To be able to manage team and cover for Shift Managers in their absence.
- Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved.
- Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan delivered.
- Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and WMS systems.
- Confident at dealing with people at all level.
- Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training/ working hours.
- Ability to efficiently lead a team delegate supervise functions and keep staff motivated.
- Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
