Job Summary
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in securing financing for vehicle purchases maximizing profitability through effective deal structuring and providing outstanding customer service. This position requires a results-oriented professional with strong sales skills in-depth knowledge of automotive financing and the ability to build lasting relationships with lenders and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Present financing and insurance options to customers explaining products clearly and ethically to facilitate informed decisions.
- Structure deals to achieve maximum gross profit while ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and dealership policies.
- Collaborate with sales team to review and approve deals identifying opportunities for add-on products like extended warranties GAP insurance PPF and other vehicle protections.
- Maintain relationships with multiple financial institutions to secure competitive rates and funding sources.
- Prepare accurate finance documents including contracts disclosures and DMV paperwork ensuring all are error-free and processed promptly.
- Train and mentor sales staff on finance processes and product knowledge to enhance overall team performance.
- Monitor market trends regulations and lender policies to keep the dealership ahead of industry changes.
- Achieve monthly performance targets for finance penetration per-deal income and customer satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as a Finance Manager or in automotive lending/sales within a dealership setting preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profit goals.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis loan structures and automotive finance products.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset.
Proficiency in dealership management systems and CRMs (e.g. Dealertrack Tekion DriveCentric or similar).
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
F&I certifications are a plus
