Job Summary
Position Summary
The School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full time Registered Dental Hygienist . UB Dental is a vital part of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a teaching facility we offer our dental students the opportunity to work closely with patients of all addition we are a safety net for the Buffalo-Niagara region providing dental care for thousands of people each year throughout the community. Job responsibilities include: Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of General Dentistry patients in oral self-care techniques Deliver appropriate efficient and effective patient-centered treatment on average of 6 to 10 patients per day Provide patient education Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral Conduct administrative/operational tasks Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students Work Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Learn more: Our benefits where we prioritize your well-being and success to enhance every aspect of your life. Minimum Qualifications
NYS Registered Dental Hygienist
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ( BLS ) Excellent communication skills experience working with diverse populations Attention to detail At least five years of experience Experience with hybrids and implants
