Job Summary:
We are hiring a Senior Logistics Specialist with expertise in shipping transportation inventory management and supply chain operations. This role is ideal for experienced logistics professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make an impact in medical device manufacturing. You will manage shipping operations optimize transportation processes ensure regulatory compliance and support warehouse logistics and tooling tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end shipping operations including bills of lading packing slips and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with carriers vendors and internal teams to schedule pickups arrange transportation and guarantee on-time deliveries
- Monitor and resolve shipping delays damages and non-conformances implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations customs and hazardous materials requirements
- Track and maintain accurate shipping records costs and inventory; assist with cycle counts and audits
- Oversee custom crating packaging and safe handling of materials
- Analyze logistics data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Train and mentor logistics staff and new hires
- Collaborate with suppliers carriers and internal departments to improve workflow and reduce costs
- Support warehouse logistics tooling tracking and supply chain process improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping logistics or supply chain operations preferably in medical device manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Forklift experience required
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations and trade compliance
- DOT and IATA certifications preferred
- Experience handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
