Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team in Houston. This full-time night position offers the opportunity to care for critically ill heart failure patients in a fast-paced collaborative environment within the Texas Medical Center. The ideal candidate has strong critical care experience and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advanced clinical care for patients in the CVICU focusing on heart failure and complex cardiovascular conditions
Collaborate with cardiologists surgeons nurses and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Perform patient assessments order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage therapies
Participate in rounds patient consultations and family communications
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols safety standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN-AGACNP) required
2-3 years of critical care experience as an ICU registered nurse or nurse practitioner
Experience caring for patients with heart failure preferred
Licensed or eligible to practice as an NP in Texas
Ability and desire to work night shifts
Strong communication critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
