Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team in Houston. This full-time night position offers the opportunity to care for critically ill heart failure patients in a fast-paced collaborative environment within the Texas Medical Center. The ideal candidate has strong critical care experience and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced clinical care for patients in the CVICU focusing on heart failure and complex cardiovascular conditions
  • Collaborate with cardiologists surgeons nurses and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform patient assessments order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage therapies
  • Participate in rounds patient consultations and family communications
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols safety standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN-AGACNP) required
  • 2-3 years of critical care experience as an ICU registered nurse or nurse practitioner
  • Experience caring for patients with heart failure preferred
  • Licensed or eligible to practice as an NP in Texas
  • Ability and desire to work night shifts
  • Strong communication critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
