Our client a Canadian defense contractor specializing in Manufacturing and Textiles is in search of a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead production launch by developing and optimizing manufacturing processes as well as identifying and procuring appropriate tooling and equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot process material or equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions to plant management.
Promote and support LEAN Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement including self-balancing cells activities.
Develop incentive program for production.
Develop and prepare work instructions charts graphs and diagrams to illustrate workflow routing floor layouts material handling and machine utilization.
Job Requirements:
Excellent understanding of manufacturing engineering principles methods and planning.
Preferred experience in textile manufacturing engineering but open to candidates with experience in other manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office with general computer applications skills.
Strong process-oriented mindset.
