Meet the Team
The Hardware Tools team is a dedicated group of hardware engineers working across our international locations. We are responsible for delivering world-class development tools for Silicon Labs current and future portfolio of IoT devices like microcontrollers and wireless devices for applications such as Wi-Fi Bluetooth Zigbee and proprietary solutions.
Our tasks span from design specification to following up our contract manufacturer ensuring timely delivery of almost 150 different development kit types to customers worldwide. Within the team we develop hardware validate perfromance manage documentation and create scripts for automation. We also design our own hardware and software infrastructure for circuit board production tests and firmware regression tests.
What You Will Do
We are seeking a hardware designer with a background in development and measurement of high-frequency circuitries. You will be a key contributor in the design development and testing of high-frequency sections (antenna matching network etc) for demonstration boards and development kits that are used by our internal teams and customers.
Skills Needed
MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or have an equivalent education.
Hands-on experience with board-level circuit design and testing involving high-frequency circuitries low cost (printed) antennas
Enthusiasm in executing development/optimization/verification tasks
Experience in the use of PCB schematic and layout designer CAD tools (Altium preferred)
Team player (ability to work in both individual as well as team settings)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
MS Office documentation spreadsheet presentation tools or similar
We consider the following experience as a plus
Basic knowledge of high level scripting languages (Python)
