Job Summary

Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are encouraged to consider an available part-time / as needed Clinician position with Liberty Healthcares forensic mental health program located onsite at the West Valley Detention Center a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga CA.

This program exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved experiencing mental illness and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial.

The goal of this cutting-edge program is to facilitate early access to mental health services provide rapid stabilization and restore people to competency efficiently and effectively.

As a Clinician your role will involve:

Providing services to program clients one-to-one in-person and onsite at the jail facility

Conducting psychosocial and risk assessments

Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management psychoeducation and crisis intervention

Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education

Documenting services and client status in Libertys electronic health record system

Participating in treatment team and other meetings

Collaborating with clinical ancillary and security staff

Two options are available:

Working a regular part-time schedule with 3-day workweeks (24 hours total each week)

Working as needed at times of peak program utilization and when coverage is needed for staff who are on vacation or other leave

You can expect to be paid $50.00 per hour.
