Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are encouraged to consider an available part-time / as needed Clinician position with Liberty Healthcares forensic mental health program located onsite at the West Valley Detention Center a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga CA.
This program exclusively serves adults who are justice-involved experiencing mental illness and have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial.
The goal of this cutting-edge program is to facilitate early access to mental health services provide rapid stabilization and restore people to competency efficiently and effectively.
As a Clinician your role will involve:
- Providing services to program clients one-to-one in-person and onsite at the jail facility
- Conducting psychosocial and risk assessments
- Providing brief treatment primarily focused on symptom management psychoeducation and crisis intervention
- Supporting clients with competency restoration training and education
- Documenting services and client status in Libertys electronic health record system
- Participating in treatment team and other meetings
- Collaborating with clinical ancillary and security staff
Two options are available:
- Working a regular part-time schedule with 3-day workweeks (24 hours total each week)
- Working as needed at times of peak program utilization and when coverage is needed for staff who are on vacation or other leave
You can expect to be paid $50.00 per hour.
