Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Analytics and Communications the incumbent is responsible for employing specialized knowledge of technology equipment and software applications to support faculty staff and students by preparing and producing various multimedia projects. The incumbent provides training consultation and technical support to faculty staff and students on the following: software applications media equipment remote learning platforms and learning technology tools.
The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of copyright laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensuring full compliance when posting videos to servers. They demonstrate expert-level proficiency across a wide range of software applications on both Mac and PC platforms including Adobe After Effects Premiere Photoshop Dreamweaver Lightroom Audition Audacity Camtasia Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Media Encoder alongside a solid grasp of social media/Web 2.0 concepts. With a clear understanding of the instructional technology mission on campus they bring proven consulting experience having successfully collaborated with faculty and staff on multimedia productions. Their familiarity with current technologies key drivers and trends in content delivery as well as hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) positions them to effectively support digital learning initiatives. The candidate is highly organized and adept at planning capable of identifying necessary components and resources to ensure timely and accurate project completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills enable them to convey technical and non-technical information clearly while their attention to detail ability to work independently in fast-paced environments and collaborative spirit make them a valuable team player committed to achieving shared goals.

Equivalent to a bachelors degree in Film or Multimedia Design or a related field and two years of related professional or technical experience required.

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5178 (Step 1) - $5605 (Step 5) per month commensurate with candidates education experience skills and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5178 (Step 1) - $7543 (Step 20) per month.
1.0 time-base 40 hours per week.
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
