Job Summary

Franklin University located in Columbus Ohio is seeking a full-time Lead Faculty to support the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program within Doctoral Studies & Academic Research. Reporting to the Department Chair Doctoral Programs this role serves as an academic leader scholar-practitioner and subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the quality consistency and continuous improvement of doctoral coursework and faculty engagement. Candidates will have the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work schedule provided they commit to being onsite as needed to support departmental initiatives collaboration and university events. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in doctoral education shaping the success of both students and faculty within the DBA program.

The Lead Faculty plays a critical role in advancing academic excellence through teaching curriculum development assessment leadership and accreditation support. The role includes teaching doctoral courses in business management and leadership disciplines applying contemporary pedagogical approaches and instructional technologies to enhance engagement learning and persistence. Close collaboration with instructional design and academic leadership is essential to designing developing and maintaining high-quality DBA courses that align with accreditation standards professional competencies and program learning outcomes. The position also contributes to program evaluation assessment activities substantive change requests and accreditation reports ensuring the curriculum remains responsive to evolving industry needs and best practices in doctoral education.

In addition to instructional responsibilities this role supports the Universitys teacher-scholar model through ongoing scholarship and professional development that strengthen disciplinary expertise and teaching effectiveness. Responsibilities also include mentoring adjunct faculty contributing to university governance and committee work engaging in professional and community service and participating in commencement and other required academic events. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Department Chair or Dean in alignment with program and institutional needs.

Qualified candidates will hold a DBA or PhD in Business Management or a related discipline from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited institution with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience in doctoral-level teaching curriculum design and faculty engagement along with strong communication organizational and multitasking skills suited to a fast-paced academic environment. Proficiency with digital learning platforms data analytics tools and online teaching technologies is essential as is the ability to conceptualize implement and evaluate doctoral courses designed to respond to emerging markets and industry trends. Preferred candidates will bring experience in program development accreditation self-studies and assessment processes along with an active research agenda in areas such as management leadership organizational behavior business analytics or educational effectiveness. Additional preferred qualifications include professional certifications or specialized credentials and prior corporate military or consulting experience that demonstrates cross-sector leadership and operational management.
