Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Correctional Facility
Location: Bedford Hills NY 10507
Contract Duration: 26 weeks (option to extend up to 52 weeks)
Schedule:
5x8-hour day shifts (06:00 14:00)
Weekends and holidays required
No block scheduling
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional healthcare environment. This position involves working in a Regional Medical Unit that includes areas such as the Emergency Clinic Infirmary Long-Term Care and Medication Rooms.
Candidates must be comfortable delivering care in both acute and chronic care settings performing assessments wound care medication administration and responding promptly to medical emergencies.
Requirements
Active New York State RN License
Current BLS Certification (required)
Prior experience in correctional acute or long-term care settings preferred
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must complete two consecutive days of facility and security orientation
