Job Summary

The Technical Director is responsible for leading all scientific technical and innovation functions foranextgenerationcontractormanufacturerspecializingincleanhigh-performancepersonal care beauty and wellness products. This role will direct formulation strategy manage new product development and guide the translation of innovation into scalable commercially successful products that
reflect leadership and sustainable science-driven solutions.

PrincipalResponsibilities

LeadProductInnovation

  • Directallphasesofresearchformulationandproductdevelopmentfornewandexistingpersonal care products from ideation and prototyping to validation scale-up and product launch.
  • Defineandownthelong-terminnovationroadmapandtechnicalstrategyacrossallproduct categories.
  • Championcompanyleadershipincleanformulationsustainabilityandfunctionalperformance.

DriveStrategicExecution

  • Overseetheinnovationprocessfromconceptthroughregulatoryapprovalpilotproductionand commercialization.
  • Partnerwithexecutiveleadershiptoaligninnovationprioritieswithcorporateobjectivesfinancial targets and customer needs.
  • Leadtechnicalduediligenceandfeasibilityassessmentsfornewtechnologiesingredientplatforms and customer needs.

  • Coordinatethestagegateprocessensuringcross-functionalawarenessandalignmentforeach development milestone.

Technical&CommercialExcellence

  • Translateconsumerinsightsintomeaningfulformulationstrategiesandnewtechnologiesthat differentiate company and its customers.
  • Identifyevaluateandintegratenewrawmaterialsactivesandprocessingtechnologiesthat differentiate company and its customers.
  • Establishandmaintainrigoroustechnicalstandardsfordocumentationclaimssubstantiationand regulatory compliance.
  • Leadscale-upactivitiesbydefiningkeyprocessparametersensuringsuccessfulpilot-to-commercial transfer.

Leadership&Communication

  • ServeastheseniortechnicalvoicewithintheorganizationrepresentingR&Dinexecutivemeetings customer engagements and strategic partnerships.

Education

Experience

  • 10yearsofprogressiveR&DandproductdevelopmentleadershipinPersonalCareBeautyorOTC categories.
  • Provenrecordofdevelopingandcommercializingbreakthroughproductswithmeasurablebusiness impact.
  • Experienceleadingteamsandprojectsinafast-pacedcustomer-centricmanufacturingenvironment.

Technical&LeadershipCompetencies

  • Deepexpertiseinformulationscienceingredientfunctionalityclaimsvalidationand stability/compatibility testing.
