Job Summary

DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington DC area with offices in multiple cities that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.

Our goal is to deliver superior customer service respect expertise and responsiveness to our customers. As stewards of our company you will be responsible for awarding every customer with a positive rental experience.

Do you love building strong teams streamlining operations and keeping things running smoother than a freshly tuned engine Whip is looking for a Store Manager with solid operations experience to lead daily activities boost performance and deliver an unforgettable customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Oversee daily store operations from front desk service to vehicle hand-offs keeping everything moving efficiently and on schedule.
  • Hire train and mentor a high-performing team. Build a positive driven culture that celebrates wins and tackles challenges together.
  • Track KPIs set ambitious goals and continuously refine processes to hit (and exceed) targets.
  • Make every customers day with stellar service quick resolutions and genuine care.
  • Partner with fleet service and logistics teams to keep vehicles available clean and road-ready.
  • Maintain company standards policies and safety protocolsbecause smooth operations start with doing things right.
  • Spot opportunities for improvement and bring fresh ideas to keep the store running better every day.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Management Operations or a related field preferred but not required (equivalent experience also considered).
  • 3 years of store or operations management experience (retail rental or automotive industry a plus).
  • Proven track record of leading teams meeting performance goals and improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience with inventory logistics or fleet management systems is a strong bonus.
  • Strong leadership and people-development abilities.
  • Data-driven decision-making and KPI management.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling systems.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience managing store operations in retail rental rideshare automotive or similar fast-moving industries.
  • Strong leadership skills you know how to motivate delegate and hold your team accountable.
  • Excellent communication and organization you keep priorities clear and teams aligned.
  • A customer-first mindset you go above and beyond to deliver a top-tier experience.
  • Tech-savvy and process-oriented you embrace tools and data to streamline operations.
  • Flexible availability open to weekends evenings and holidays when needed.

Work Environment:

Typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop keyboard mouse monitors desk chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse keyboard monitor phone - for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email Google Meet and Slack.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds if required.
