BOARD MEMBER - BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(This is a volunteer position)
The Board of Directors plays a vital role in promoting our vision and increasing mental health and addiction awareness in our community.
The Board meets monthly except for March July August and December. Committee Meetings are held January April October and Board Meetings are held February May June September November on the third Wednesday of the month and are scheduled to run from 6:00PM to 8:00PM with a light supper provided if in-person otherwise held via MS Teams. Occasionally additional Board meetings are required and are usually held via MS Teams meetings. The Board also has one evening (dinner) Board meeting.
Board membership is a voluntary and therefore unpaid activity. Legitimate expenses (mileage meals child-care etc. are reimbursed). If a Board member requires it transportation is provided to Board events.
Two (2) available positions:
- CMHAMPS community has prioritized truth and reconciliation leading to the identification of needing Indigenous leadership and decision makers as part of our Board community. Indigenous knowledge carriers and those that self-identify will be prioritized. Must live at a primary permanent address in the territories of the Robinson-Huron Treaty and the Williams Treaties.
- Looking for an Indigenous or Non-Indigenous Board member must live at a primary address in the District of Parry Sound.
We welcome and encourage consumers and family members to apply. Education and training in Indigenous culture an asset.
