Duty Hours: Standard Eight (08) Hours /26 Days
Salary: OMR 2800 per month
Job Overview:
The HSE Promoter will be responsible for implementing and promoting health safety and environmental standards across shipyard and oil & gas operations. The role requires ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations conducting safety inspections and raising awareness among employees to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Promote a strong HSE culture across all levels of the organization.
Conduct daily safety inspections audits and risk assessments.
Implement and monitor compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Deliver toolbox talks safety induction sessions and awareness programs.
Investigate incidents near misses and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Support line management in maintaining workplace safety and environmental standards.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines.
Prepare daily/weekly HSE performance and incident reports.
Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain safety documentation.
Assist the HSE Manager in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 23 years in Shipyard or Oil & Gas industry.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards hazard management and environmental protection.
Familiarity with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards preferred.
Good knowledge of incident reporting systems and risk control measures.
Experience in Gulf or overseas industrial projects preferred.
Required Skills:
Strong communication and safety awareness skills.
Ability to lead safety campaigns and training programs effectively.
Excellent observational analytical and reporting abilities.
Knowledge of HSE documentation and regulatory compliance.
Team-oriented with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.
Commitment to maintaining high HSE standards in challenging environments.
