Job Overview
The Equipment & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical tools and equipment used in marine barge and rigging operations. The technician must possess strong technical skills hands-on expertise and sound knowledge of lifting loading and offloading procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance repairs and servicing of hand tools power tools and mechanical equipment.
Assist in lifting operations and support rigging activities during barge loading and offloading.
Conduct inspections to ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure timely corrective action.
Maintain safety procedures and follow company maintenance standards.
Coordinate with supervisors and team members for smooth equipment operations.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equipment and maintenance work.
Knowledgeable in lifting activities and handling rigging tools used during barge loading/offloading.
Skilled in handling hand and power tools such as:
Drilling & Grinding Machines
Jig & Band Saw
Hilti Tools
Torque Wrenches
Bolt Tensioning Tools
Other mechanical/electrical tools
Strong troubleshooting abilities and mechanical understanding.
Ability to read and follow safety guidelines and maintenance instructions.
