Description

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell you will play a crucial role in supporting our Component Design and Analysis (CDA) team. This position involves collaboration with Production Supplier Transition and Value Engineering initiatives to ensure the highest quality standards and effective design change management.

In this role you will impact the overall quality and efficiency of our engineering processes ensuring that our products meet the highest standards while facilitating smooth transitions and improvements in our supplier and production operations.



Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Quality through processes such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RMRAs) and Quality Notifications (QNs).
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide engineering decisions.
  • Support supplier substantiation efforts including Engineering Source Approval (ESA) Supplier Technical Information Control System (STICS) Supplier Technical Review (STR) Failure Review (FTR) and Supplier Corrective Action System (SCS).
  • Manage Design Change processes including Engineering Change Notices (ECN) Technical Completion (TECO) and Deviation Waiver requests.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and engineering change management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with supplier management and substantiation processes.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
