The Opportunity
The Formwork Supervisor will oversee all formwork precast casting erection and water-retaining structure works on the Alkimos Desalination Plant project. This role is critical in ensuring the safe efficient and high-quality delivery of complex concrete and precast structures. The supervisor will manage site crews coordinate with engineers and subcontractors and enforce compliance with project and safety requirements
Formwork & Precast Works
- Supervise the installation adjustment and dismantling of Peri and Doka formwork systems.
- Manage precast concrete operations including mould preparation casting curing handling and erection.
- Oversee rigging lifting and installation of large precast elements in accordance with lifting studies and safety plans.
- Monitor tolerances finishes and dimensional accuracy of cast in-situ and precast elements.
Water Retaining Structures
- Supervise construction of water retaining structures including tanks basins and reservoirs ensuring durability watertightness and compliance with project specifications.
- Implement best practices for formwork reinforcement and joint treatment in water-retaining concrete
Responsibilities
- Efficient application and deployment of labour plant andmaterials/to the area or areas of the project allocated.
- Responsible for the safe undertaking of all works on your site on any given day including the safety of all site personnel.
- Participate in or conduct site audits client meetings sign-offs safety inspections and other requirements at appropriate stages for each project; and
- Review budgets and KPIs for allocated projects monthly and flag any issues with Discipline Leads
Required Skills and Competencies
Required Skills and Competencies
- 10 years experience supervising formwork crews on major infrastructure projects (civil marine industrial or large-scale concrete works).
- Proven expertise with Peri RMD Doka formwork systems.
- Experience in Precast/Tilt up erection and casting preferred.
- Trade certificate or similar
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent communication planning and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety quality and environmental standards.
- Nightshift and shift rotation may be required for periods.
- Experience in Water Retaining Structures Preferable.
Preferred
- Cert III in Supervision
- Tilt Up awareness training/Tilt up supervision certificate
- Cert III In Carpentry/Trade
- Working at Heights EWP
