Position Summary
Off-Campus Student Life ( OCSL ) a department within Student Affairs provides education advising resources and support for all Carolina students who are exploring living off campus are in transition to living off campus and who currently reside off campus. The office connects students with the information they need to make informed decisions about living off campus offers guidance and programming to promote being a positive contributor to a high quality of life in near-campus and downtown neighborhoods and helps to address community concerns when behavioral issues arise off campus. OCSL partners with campus departments and community agencies to advance programs such as the Good Neighbor Initiative Party Registration program Tar Heel Citizen Times e-newsletter and the Neighborhood Education and Advocacy Team. The Coordinator will be a primary point of contact for Off-Campus Student Life managing the day-to-day operations of the off-campus housing program managing coordination of Good Neighbor Initiative programming and serving as a source of knowledge for both students campus partners and community partners related to resources policies and procedures. The position will involve planning problem-solving and coordination with significant responsibility and autonomy. The Coordinator will plan and execute events manage marketing and communication and manage new and existing relationships on and off-campus.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated experience working with program and/or event planning and management.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated experience leading the planning and management of educational programs and community events with partner organizations; experience with program marketing (including use of social media to drive awareness and attendance); experience leading educational training in-person and via virtual platforms; experience working with college students.
