Job Overview

The Special Projects Engineer will be the primary engineering resource tasked with overseeing the systems process and infrastructure needs for special requests.

Highlights of your role

  • Developing and implementing manufacturing processes standard work for special requests and maintaining process documentation
  • Executing systems and physical pilot runs to ensure the correct infrastructure is in place for production on new offerings
  • Working hand-in-hand with the Signature Services Team and R&D Designers and other functional areas to ensure special request orders are built to the customers exact specifications
  • Verifying special calcs bill of materials and other process documentation to ensure an efficient flow of information throughout the build process
  • Research and test manufacturing processes and equipment to safely and efficiently build the special request to the customers specifications
  • Supporting special request units through the production process assisting production as needed
  • Assist in analyzing the current systems and process capabilities and work with all necessary support areas to implement improvements
  • Program Biesse CNCs to accommodate non-standard fabrications for special requests
  • Supporting process and equipment changes throughout production ensuring EHS Quality and Production are trained and documentation is completed

Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering is required
  • Experience participating in projects preferred
  • Prior experience in Modern manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD software is preferred
  • Proficiency in ICIM is required
