DescriptionBoston Speech Therapy is looking for a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team! We offer a competitive pay rate of $70 per hour for 10 to 13 hours of work per week allowing you to balance your professional and personal life while making a significant impact on students educational journeys.
In this role you will provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs focusing on creating a supportive and engaging environment. This part-time position gives you the opportunity to work with K-8 students in a pull-out model designing individualized plans that cater to each students strengths and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Coordinate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Adapt instructional methods based on individual student needs and assessments
RequirementsQualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with K-8 students particularly in a special education setting
- Knowledge of various learning disabilities and tailored instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Commitment to the social and academic growth of all students
Benefits- 1099 position
