Kleinfelder isseekinga dynamic and entrepreneurialmindedbusiness development leader todrive sustaineddouble-digit(net)salesgrowthyear over yearforour NorthernCalifornia &Pacific Area NCP.The ideal candidate will bea practice builder responsible for driving one market sector (Water) as well asan inspirationalleaderproviding guidance to market leaders inthreeadditionalmarket sectors Power Transportation and Federal.

While theinitialemphasiswillbe to drivesustained organic growthwithkeyclientsacross4 marketsin the Northern California geographythecandidate shouldanticipateexpandingtheir efforts tosupport multipleservice line growth inthePacificregionHawaii Guamand NorthernNevadawithin12-18 months.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for assessing the4market sectorsincluding opportunitiesandrisksthat lead to thedevelopment andimplementation ofstrategies that supportNCPspenetration ofeachmarket sector.

Keyperformancemetrics:

  • In partnership withArea Leadership drivethe annual Business Development Planfor Net Saleswhich includesmeasuringprogress against annual (net) sales goalsmonthly.
  • Identify topclients by marketwith a focus oncross-sellingservices.
  • Assurethatcapture plans are developedand implementedforalltargeted andmust winopportunities.
  • Provide oversight ofallGo/No-Go decisionsfortargeted andmust win opportunities.
  • Senior advisor to the Area Manager(AM); serves asacting Area Managerupon request.

FOCUS AREAS

Primary Focus:Water MarketDevelopment

  • Leadthestrategic growth of KleinfeldersWater market in the NCPwithinitialspecific focuson2-3 large multi-million-dollarpursuits in Northern California
  • In partnership with others build andmaintainstrong client relationshipsfor allKleinfelderKey/GrowthClientsin the NCP
  • Position Kleinfelder asakey player infuturemajor infrastructure projectse.g.Delta Conveyance Project.
  • Act as a market developer withfullautonomy to shape and grow the business lineto meet the needs of the industrye.g.PFASandourclients.
  • Cross-sell Kleinfelders full suite of services- GeotechnicalConstruction Services(to includePM/CM)CoMETandEnvironmental(EP&P and Remediation).
  • Work closely with operations and technical leadership teams toidentifyandplan forfuture resource needs.

Secondary Focus:Area Market Management

  • Is the evangelist for BD policyprocedureand best practices throughout the organizationin accordance withtheKleinfelder Marketing SystemKMS.
  • Analyze local Market drivers andidentifyunique new business opportunities for high growth
  • Leverage existing service contracts toestablishandbuild client trust and expandWater opportunities in the Federal State and Local markets
  • Support backlog development and opportunity capture across theNCP in coordination with other KleinfelderAreas and Divisional/Corporate Market Leads.
  • Ensure Area Market Leads and KleinfelderclientRepsmaintainaccurateandrelevant client information in CRMwith supportfrom theArea Administrative Manager AAM and Area Business Manager ABMteams.
  • On behalf of the AM negotiate complex comprehensive long-term agreements teaming Joint Venturecontractual withKey/Growthclients.

EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree. Masters degree or equivalent desired.
  • 15years of related experience and proven prior success in growing a client account as aMajor Accounts Manager (20 years preferred).
  • 10years of direct client interaction in designated market and knowledge of applicable laws and regulationsrequired (15 years preferred)
  • 6 years of management experience required
  • CPSMMBA or the equivalent preferred
  • Professional certification/registrations (AICP JD LEED RG PE PG)desired
  • Superior leadership and personnel management skills
  • Client interview skills and in-depth knowledge of company offerings and operations

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $149843 - 250058.
