Job Summary
As aSenior SDET Java (18245)you willbe responsible fordesigning developing andmaintaininghigh-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projectsmentoringjunior engineers and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and execute end-to-end testing for dbt pipelines creating mocked and expected data across bronze silver and gold layers to ensure data quality and business accuracy.
- Analyze requirements schema changes and business logic to define the testing scope strategy and validation approach in collaboration with data engineers and analytics engineers.
- Investigate failed tests maintain dbt unit and end-to-end tests and work closely with engineering teams to review validate and approve pull requests within Agile ceremonies.
Qualifications and Skills
- More than seven years of experience in quality engineering roles with a strong focus on data validation and testing.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts ETL processes BI tools and data quality techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python with experience using pytest for custom test development.
- Strong knowledge of testing strategies version control systems and collaborative development practices.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for modeling unit testing and end-to-end pipeline validation.
- Ability to work with Databricks Docker and VS Code to support data engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with data pipelines Power BI Tableau and cloud environments.
- Understanding of data governance compliance standards and best practices for enterprise data quality.
- Ability to communicate testing value to business stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Agile environments.
- Capability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to overall data testing maturity.
