Summary: Provides administrative support for the assigned court.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions: Manages and schedules court dockets for trials announcements arraignments pleas probation hearings and hearings on Motions filed by the State and Defense; electronically files all documents signed by the Judge and filed in the courtroom; prepares jury lists and jury list strikes; provides secretarial support; orders office supplies. Prepares and enters court information on bonds and dispositions into the computer system; issues warrants on forfeitures and new case files as needed; mails fax or e-file court letters to defendants and attorneys; prepares statistics and assists with budgets; works closely with and assist attorneys bondmen jail staff warrant division District Attorneys Office and the County Clerks Office. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Education & Experience
Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED; 2 year Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies or 2 years of relevant Paralegal experience; and two years full time office/clerical work including one year full time work in a court setting; bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of legal documents and forms; basic word processing/personal computer software; Microsoft Office Workflow System Aumentum Recorder AS400 and Odyssey Case Management System; general office procedures. Skill in providing information and assistance to the Judge court staff attorneys and others.
Equipment Used: Personal computer/mainframe computer terminal; multi-line telephone system; copy machine; other general office equipment as needed.
Work Situations/Demands/Efforts:Work requires organizing; prioritizing; accuracy; attention to detail; working alone; dealing with the public; flexibility in order to perform a variety of duties; performing routine repetitive duties; meeting frequent deadlines. Employee works independently within established guidelines and timeframe.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment which is shared with co-workers and is readily accessible to other employees.
Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Duties require frequent prolonged sitting; reaching lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. such as files records supplies; walking to courthouse and within office to deliver/retrieve files and paperwork.
